Walsall Childcare Darlaston is situated in the heart of Darlaston, overlooking the beautiful St Laurence Church. The nursery is a 5-minute walk from the Town of Darlaston. It has bus links to Walsall, Wednesbury, West Bromwich and Wolverhampton, and is a short drive to Junction 9 of the M6 making it a very popular setting. Since opening it has support children from 3 months – 4 years old. High quality care and education is provided by a well-qualified team led by an experienced Manager.

About Our Rooms

The nursery is split into age groups and has beautiful open spaces with one of a kind resources to promote awe and wonder. The setting has an under-two’s space, our Willows room. It has a Younger two’s space called Maples, with open bright airy spaces. The setting has separate spaces for the older two-year olds in Sycamores and the Pre-schoolers in the Oaks space.

The spaces are bright and spacious and have been recently renovated. The nursery also offers an Atrium, where the children dine together, children use this space for gym and tasty cooking sessions.

Willows

0 to 2 years

Our Willows space is the perfect haven of home, comfort and warmth. It is designed to cater for 0 to 2 year old’s. The practitioners help nurture and comfort each baby ready for them to take those important first steps.

Maples

Older 2s

The older twos enjoy a tailored highly stimulating day to promote their personal development. The children are given lots of small group opportunities to build their vocabulary and social skills.

Oaks

Preschool

Pre-school is all about the children being empowered, independent and gaining those key skills to flourish at school. We don’t focus on writing, phonetical or mathematical teaching. But teaching that inspires child led focuses and their own interest in learning.

Foundation Unit

School Readiness

Our Foundation Unit is our specially designed space for our pre-school aged children where the staff support and prepare the children for school and reception. The space has specialist toys, and little curiosities that enable the children to learn and develop in a way that suits them best.

We strongly believe that smaller groups enable children to have the confidence to make friends and to flourish. In our Darlaston setting, we have the capabilities to do this. Our Acorns is where the staff and children engage in a self-functioning.

Food & Snacks

Our menu has been designed to offer various flavours, textures, and experiences. We are conscious of providing seasonal and sustainable food. Our fruit and vegetables come from a local provider, and our meat also comes from a local butcher.

Our menu is deliberately ambiguous to allow our chefs the autonomy to choose the best produce available each week. We also enjoy special events and days about different cultures where the children will enjoy a variety of new foods.
